Dear All,

I feel a fire might be beckoning soon ....

This Sunday: 11.30am Family Communion service with a baptism, Mason Arthur Edwards. Please come along to welcome Mason into the family of the church. Service led by Sian, sidesman and reader Mike H, chalice myself.

Coming up: there are only a few tickets left for the Black Country evening on Saturday 23rd in the village hall - contact Ros Plested or Pat Mutton asap if you want to come.

The sponsored walk is next Sunday 24th. The nearest one leaves Little Hereford church, meet at 8am, and goes via St Michaels and Tenbury to Burford church. Please help raise some money for our loo/kitchen project by walking or by not walking but most importantly by sponsoring someone - I am not walking, Clair is walking i think, so if you can't find anyone else to sponsor then contact one of us!! There is a 10am sung service for our patronal festival also (which is why i'm not walking).

Ros P says: don't forget the coffee morning on Friday 29th, 10-12noon in the hall, in aid of Macmillan Cancer. Cakes for sale will be very welcome on the day and also goods for the bring and buy.

Jenny Robinson, the new head of boarding at St Michaels College says: the College is looking for host families for its students. This would entail having a pupil live with you during term time. They would need their own bedroom and a desk/work space. They would go home at Christmas, Easter and summer holidays. You do get paid for this. If anyone is interested then please contact Jenny at jfrb75@gmail.com.

Don't forget that Harvest Festival is on 1st October at 11.30am and is followed by a bring and share lunch in the church. If you are coming, and you would like a suggestion as to what to bring please ask me (just so we don't end up with too many of the same thing!).

Until next week ....
Julie
