14th April 2017
a bit cooler but the blossom is beautiful.
Today, get down town at 10.30am and grab a free hot cross bun near the Regal courtesy of Tenbury Team but they do go quick.
At 2pm today is the service of The Last Hour at Tenbury, a very moving service remembering Jesus' last hour on the cross.
Tonight at 7pm John with singers Jane Field and Elaine Fleming are performing Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, the crucifixion through the eyes of Mary, in the church. £5 on the door.
Saturday at 5pm there is a evening prayer with vigil service at St James Greete
Sunday at 6am is the Dawn Service of Light at St Michaels. Starting in the churchyard we light a fire, then move into church by candlelight for the rest of the service. It is a lovely service if you get up in time! At least it's not the day of the clock change as it was one year. After the service we have breakfast and this year Mark has offered to barbecue sausages for us, tea/coffee and bread rolls also available.
If you prefer a later start there is a 10am service at Tenbury and Little Hereford, 11.30am at Burford or other services further afield.
Next Friday 21st, is Bridget's coffee morning in the hall from 10am-12noon. It is also the official launch of KITE which you should have had information about. The following Monday, 24th, at 7pm in St Marys Tenbury, Bishop Alistair is blessing the new altar and dais there and the KITE scheme. All welcome to go along.
Until next week...
